With over 20 years of experience Dr. Smith has been in Walla Walla since 2007 and is the current owner of the practice. Dr. Smith knew from an early age what profession he would pursue. The son of a successful retired veterinarian in Oregon; Dr. Smith graduated from Oregon State University in 2003. Dr. Smith specializes in small animal medicine with a strong emphasis on orthopedic surgery, and challenging internal medicine cases. Dr. Smith is married to a beautiful wife, Jill, and together they have three active teenage boys. When not practicing veterinary medicine Dr. Smith and his family can either be found watching/participating in middle & high school sports or enjoying the great outdoors.
Dr. Colton grew up on her family’s fourth generation beef ranch in North Powder, OR. She especially enjoyed helping her dad and uncle during the busy calving season. She knew from the age five that she wanted to become a veterinarian. Dr. Colton graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She is overjoyed to be closer to home along with her husband Ryan, together they are excited to join our small community here in Walla Walla. Dr. Colton specializes in small and large animal, and has many interests in preventative medicine, herd health, theriogenology and internal medicine. Outside of the hospital she enjoys time spent with her family and friends, improving her golf game, hiking and fishing, baking, and hanging out with her cat Mowgli. Dr. Colton looks forward to meeting the pets and livestock from our wonderful clients here at Animal Clinic of Walla Walla.
Dr. Prendiville is a Walla Walla native. He developed his interest in caring for animals from a young age, caring for his family pets, visiting Blue Mountain Humane Society, and raising hogs for the Walla Walla County Fair. Dr. Prendiville graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee in 2018 and started his career in Spokane, WA. Dr. Prendiville returned to Walla Walla in 2023 to join ACWW. He enjoys small animal medicine, in particular Dentistry, and Oncology. Dr. Prendiville is also interested in exotics, birds, and pocket pets. Outside of the clinic Dr. Prendiville enjoys spending time with his wife, Vanessa, two children (Helena and Wayne) and Dog and Cat (Billie and Cassius)
Alexis is our Practice Manager and joined our team in October of 2020. She grew up in the small town of Union, OR. Even at a young age Alexis knew that this was going to be her career path and loves the excitement of each day being different from the last. Her main goal is to be able to provide an environment where the team enjoys working every day, a place where everyone can be fun but efficient. In her spare time, she loves traveling and going on morning walks but her favorite thing to do is go on coffee dates with her husband and their crazy Husky named Kai.
Becky grew up on her family farm in the Walla Walla valley then moved to the Puget Sound to attend college. She worked as a licensed veterinary technician and was also self-employed several times, married and raised a small family, then recently decided to move back to the Walla Walla area with her husband. She now enjoys spending time with family, her kitty cat, cooking, gardening sewing and the simple life in a small town in America.
Hailey was born and raised in Milton-Freewater, OR. She was involved in FFA, where she raised and showed market goats. She enjoys hunting, fishing, and being in the mountains with her boyfriend and their three dogs. She also has 13 chickens and a Guinea Pig named, Barry. Hailey enjoys helping all animals, big and small, to feel better and making sure they get lots of love while at the clinic.
Hannah was born and raised in Olympia, WA and moved to Walla Walla in 2014. She has always had a love for animals and graduated from Blue Mountain Community College with a certificate in Veterinary Assisting, while attending school she found a passion in large animal care. Before coming to Animal Clinic of Walla Walla Hannah worked at an animal shelter in Pendleton, OR. In her spare time she enjoys camping and going to the hot springs with her boyfriend. Hannah just welcomed her first child Leo in March 2023! One day Hannah hopes to further her knowledge and work towards becoming a licensed veterinary technician.
Olivya was born and raised in the PNW and became a Veterinary assistant with our practice in August 2022. She has always had a love for working with animals and enjoys hunting, boating and golfing in her free time. Olivya lives with her husband, 2 dogs and 3 cats. She is hoping to continue her education and work towards becoming a licensed veterinary technician one day.
Brenna was born and raised in Walla Walla, WA, where she developed a strong passion for animals and veterinary care. She spent about 6 years actively involved in 4-H and FFA, raising market hogs. Outside of agricultural interests, Brenna enjoys spending time outdoors and going on adventures with friends and family, always seeking new experiences and connections.
Ashley was born in Walla Walla WA, raised in Eastern Oregon, and attended Weston McEwen High School. As a child Ashley loved helping her grandparents around the farm. Ashley previously worked at a Veterinary Clinic in Pendleton Oregon and is excited to further her knowledge in Veterinary medicine. Before Ashley became a Veterinary Assistant she used to work at Saffron here in Walla Walla as a line cook. Some of her hobbies include gardening, cooking and anything that includes family time up in the mountains. Ashley is inspired by this industry, and her goal is to become a Veterinarian Technician.
Payden started working with us in July of 2025. She is currently in her Senior year of High School and after graduation she plans on working towards becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Payden has always known that she wanted to work within the veterinary industry and is so excited to be able to pursue her dream. Payden is also currently competing in the Washington State High School Rodeo Association! When Payden is not working here at the clinic or attending school you can find her in the arena roping.
